CGI Modelling & Animation
The use of state of the art CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) is usually restricted to high-end post-production facilities, with the accompanying price premiums.
Since 2005, Chat Noir Productions has provided cost effective CGI to clients for a variety of uses, including:
• Architectural Pre-visualisation
An important part of selling a new building or development to investors and town planners, is pre-visualising how the completed project will look. This was once limited to artists’ impressions, but Chat Noir can offer much more.
Filming the proposed site from a number of angles in HD and using CAD data, Chat Noir can build the structure using CGI. We can then supply video and high resolution stills for use in presentations to planners and investors.
Changes to the design? Chat Noir can adjust the model and simply re-render.
• Historical Reconstruction
Using detailed plans, photographs, client’s research materials and previous experience, Chat Noir can rebuild the past for historical and archaeological projects.
• Products and Processes
Computer animation is the perfect way to give an over-view of a complicated process, or create the perfect product shot.
Using detailed measurements, CAD drawings and photographs, we can build and animate a photo-real version, stripping it of the clutter of the “real world”.
It can also be used to transcend the limitation of live-action video, by showing the inner workings of complex machinery. For example water being pumped through a sealed filtration system.
• Visual Effects
The sophistication of computer animation and digital manipulation means that film projects are no longer limited by what can be achieved practically on set / location.
Chat Noir Productions can build and generate anything using CGI, from a coffee cup to a skyscraper, all in photo-real HD. Rendered elements can then be seamlessly composited into HD footage.
